Marina was a character design test for Penguin Random House to check if my style would work with a new book series that they had in mind. Finally, they decided that they wanted a different style, but I really loved my version of Marina and her universe, so I’m sharing it with you here.
You will see:
- Sketches of different posses
- Her sketch, two inks and color version with different expressions
- Her mermaid and human shape
- Her possible companions (they asked me to draw one but I couldn’t resist!)
- Her bag and the ideas I had for her locket (it was important for the story)
